What is your favorite memory of being part of UNCW’s Swimming & Diving program?
Being able to spend the summers in Wilmington was truly a blessing. From training, working with my teammates, and just being able to enjoy gong to Wrightsville is something I will cherish forever! Being able to spend all that time together without classes was a great way to become closer as not just friends but a team as a whole.
How has your experience as part of UNCW’s Swimming & Diving program impacted or influenced your life?
Bring apart of UNCW Swimming & Diving is one of the greatest memories I will always have. Swimming has always been such a huge part of my life and shaping the person I am today. It has taught me the importance of patience and that anything is possible it you put in the hard work to get there.
What have you been up to since your days on the UNCW pool deck?
Since graduating from UNCW, I have moved to Charlotte and began working full time in banking. I have been taking advantage of traveling whenever the opportunity allows!
Favorite stomping grounds from your time at UNCW?
Going down to Dockside and Jimmy’s were always some of my places to go, but nothing could ever beat being on Hillsdale!
Favorite UNCW Swimming & Diving slogan or cheer?
The women’s team cheer (Pump it Up!), “It’s a Great Day to Be a Seahawk,” and of course Bobby’s “SIMPLE.”
Parting advice for current UNCW Swimmers and Divers and/or recent alumni?
My advice is to always live in the moment. The 4 years spent at UNCW will be some of the best years of your life and will go faster than you realize! Being apart of a team as great as UNCW Swim and Dive will give you the best life long friends. Enjoy evert opportunity that comes your way with not only being on the best team ever but living in the best beach town ever!!
