What is your favorite memory of being part of UNCW’s Swimming & Diving program?

My favorite memory was winning the CAA Conference Championship in 2023, a title that had not been won since 2006. What made the moment even more memorable was that both the women’s and men’s teams captured conference titles that year. Sharing that accomplishment with my teammates, coaches, and the entire program is a memory I will always cherish.

How has your experience as part of UNCW’s Swimming & Diving program impacted or influenced your life?

The relationships I built both on and off the pool deck had the greatest impact on my life. I grew up in California, so being across the country from my family during my time at UNCW made the support of my teammates, coaches, teammates’ families, and the broader community especially meaningful. They became a second family and helped make Wilmington feel like home. My experience with the program also gave me lifelong friendships, and many of my teammates remain some of my closest friends to this day.

What have you been up to since your days on the UNCW pool deck?

Since graduating from UNCW, I moved to Maine to pursue my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. I graduated this past May and recently began my career as a pediatric physical therapist working at a private special-purpose school!

Favorite stomping grounds from your time at UNCW?

There’s too many favorites in Wilmington, but I’d have to say my top three are Hillsdale, Jerry Allens, and Dock Side!!

Favorite UNCW Swimming & Diving slogan or cheer?

My favorite cheer has to be” Pump it Up”! It was a moment for all the girls to really come together and have fun before starting a meet!

Parting advice for current UNCW Swimmers and Divers and/or recent alumni?

My advice would be to make sure you’re still enjoying your time in college outside of school and sports. Wilmington is such a beautiful place to live, and many of my favorite memories from college came from the experiences I shared with friends beyond the pool!!
